CAN Do Kids does not require a referral to offer services to new patients. However, if you are looking at billing your own insurance for Occupational Therapy Services a referral may be needed to obtain insurance reimbursement as some insurance policies require referrals to process reimbursement forms. Check with your insurance representative on the requirements for occupational therapy or functional therapy coverage within your policy. Most insurance will not cover consulting or health coaching.
We do not accept insurance for our services. You may speak to your insurance representative to determine what you will need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Occupational Therapy Telehealth is available in Montana and Washington.
Our fax number can be found on our 'Contact Us' page.
To begin your journey with Occupational Therapy or Functional Therapy, we recommend filling out and submitting our 'New Patient Inquiry' form as soon as you are interested in pursuing services. This will start the process of setting up your child in our system and working towards scheduling a time to meet via telehealth. OR go directly to the SERVICES page and book a session. Then, do directly to the Make a Payment page and enter in the amount for services. Once the payment is received an intake form will be emailed to you.
Our Occupational Therapy Consultations or Functional Therapy Consultations are scheduled as time permits.
If it is determined that an evaluation is warranted, these will be scheduled based on proximity and availability.
You are under no obligation to proceed with appointments with us if you can obtain services for your child at another facility before we call you for an opening.
An initial consultation at CAN Do Kids is designed to be a one-hour, one-on-one session with our occupational therapist. This appointment will be conducted via telehealth over Teams unless you specify otherwise. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians involved in your child's daily life to participate, and they can join from various locations by using a meeting ID on their computer, tablet, or smartphone.
It's important to note that your child does not need to be present for this session, allowing you to concentrate fully on the consultation. During this appointment, we will discuss your observations and major concerns regarding your child, as outlined in the intake paperwork submitted beforehand. Additionally, the session will cover crucial topics such as Occupational Therapy interventions, child development, sensory integration, diet, tech addiction, and digital health to support your child's needs.
An initial Functional Therapy (wholistic) consultation at CAN Do Kids is a one-hour one-on-one with our Functional Medicine trained therapist. This appointment will be conducted via telehealth over Teams unless you specify otherwise. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians involved in your child's daily life to participate, and they can join from various locations by using a meeting ID on their computer, tablet, or smartphone.

An occupational therapy evaluation at CAN Do Kids is conducted in person with standardized testing in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, primitive reflex integration, and Sensory Integration/processing. Testing and score comparison for age-appropriate development is based on a standardized test. Evaluations are scheduled for 2hr duration periods that include one-on-one parent/guardian consultation and education. Results from the evaluation will include the standardized test report, occupational therapy initial evaluation report, and a home exercise program specific to the results of your child's evaluation scores and where they are in regard to age-appropriate level of development.
Occupational T/Functional Therapy/Parent (caregiver) training sessions are 60 minutes long and are focused on the parent's concerns and the child's challenges. These sessions begin only after an Initial Consultation session has been completed. That process starts with a thorough parent intake, enabling a qualified therapist to outline a successful path forward, a 1:1 meeting for 60 minutes, followed by a list of concerns and solutions report. Then, and only then, can training and education sessions be scheduled.
